Israel hosts delegates in sustainable development

A group of 30 men and women involved in sustainable development are in Israel participating in a Foreign Ministry sponsored program on the use of development technologies in Israel. Leaders from government branches, universities, development foundations and other non government organizations from Angola, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cameroon, China, India , Kenya, Kyrgzystan, Moldova, Nepal, Nigeria, Peru, the Phillipines, Russia, Rwanda, Serbia, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Thailand, Ukraine and Zambia. Program coordinator Dr. Reut Barak said the aim of the course is to give tools that they will be able to take home with them. The foreign delegates explored issues of water, waste, and energy management as well as municipal infrastructure, agricultural research, development and renewable energy sites in the country's deserts she said.
