Eight Israelis were injured after a Palestinian terrorist rammed into a police roadblock and stabbed civilians and policemen near a Tel Aviv nightclub early Monday. The attack occurred as hundreds of teenagers attended an end of summer party at a south Tel Aviv nightclub. Police said the terrorist later revealed he had intended to enter the nightclub and attack civilians there, but his plans were thwarted due to the police roadblock set up nearby. The 20 year-old Nablus resident flagged down a taxi nearJaffa and attacked the driver stabbing him in the hand before forcing him out of the vehicle. He then drove the taxi towards the nightclub and rammed the car into a police checkpoint injuring border policemen and a number of civilians. He then got out of the car wielding a knife and screaming g AllahAkbar (God is Great) attacked policemen and a security guard before he was caught and arrested. In an unusual move the Palestinian Authority issued astatement condemning the Tel Aviv attack and also condemned Israel's airstrikes in Gaza and military operations in the West Bank.
