Four Israeli reservists who serve in the army's Alpine Unit were injured during operational duty on Mount Hermon. The four were airlifted to hospitals in Safed and Haifa. According to the army the soldiers apparently slipped on a layer of ice, two of the soldiers suffered head and pelvis injuries and the others suffered injuries to their limbs and lower back.
