Iran has asked UN chief Ban Ki-Moon for help in determining the fate of a former Iranian deputy defense minister Ali Reza Asghari. Asghari has mysteriously disappeared in Turkey in 2007, though it is believed that he has been abducted and transformed to Israel, with the help of the US. Recent reports claim that he may have died in Israeli prison though claims weren't verified. On Thursday December 30th, Iran urged the United Nations for help in finding out whether he is dead or alive; stressing that Israel must be held accountable for his health and safety.
