The Turkish Tourism Minister Turgot Gor has told a press conference that Turkey has no need for Israeli tourists. Meanwhile Israel's tourist minister Stas Miznikhov replied that his counterparts comments indicate a further decline in Turkish - Israeli relations. The Turkish Minister said that whilst they had no desire for Israeli visitors they were now expecting a huge influx of tourists from Arab nations following the fall out of the Gaza flotilla raid. Miznikhov added that the recent announcement was surprising after the huge investment made to attract Israeli tourists to Turkey in recent years, he added that Israelis were well aware that Turkey is a rapidly radicalising nation affected by the Arab states around her. This year 400,000 Israelis will be encouraged to visit Bulgaria instead of Turkey.
