Flotilla peace activists wielded knives and battons

The hundreds of activists aboard the central ship of the Flotilla Mavi Marmura, were waiting to attack the Navy Commandos with a variety of lethal weapons. Pictures released earlier today by the army Spokesperson Unit testify to the lynching the activists on board planned for the soliders. Among the weapons used in the attack were rifle fire which injured two officers and led Navy commandos to return fire that led to nine deaths among the activists. Wooden and metal battons as well as a large number of knives were also found on board on the main ship. Israeli soldiers involved in the operation have also described how they were beaten by mobs as they landed on the ship. They also testified that explosive cocktails and grenades were thrown at them as they tried to comandeer the vessel.
