KADIMA CHURNS WITH PRIMARY TENSIONS

Kadima may be headed for implosion as tensions between Tzipi Livni and Shaul Mofaz continue to mount. Mofaz demanded that party primaries be held early, and threatened to leave for Likud if his demand is not met. Livni countered Mofaz by holding steady with plans to do primaries in October 2012. Livni said earlier primaries would only encourage mud-slinging and intra-party tensions at a time when Kadima must oppose the government.
