Our MHC staff visited York Hill on the 19 Jan 2012 to distribute goodies and Ang Pow to the poor residents staying in rented flats. Among the poor families we met was an obese women who is unable to walk and she is stricken with diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol and kidney failures. He husband uses her wheel chair to collect discarded items for recycling. We also met with a bunch of children playing with discarded boxes at the playground while a 90 year old lady waited eagerly next to her broken pram loaded with flattened boxes. It was quite a touching sight when the children and some adults decided to bring the boxes to her and even helped her to flatten the boxes to load on her pram.
