British Prime Minister Gordon Brown told his parliament on Wednesday of plans to host a meeting between Israeli and Palestinian leaders later this month to discuss the political and economic situation in the region and establish how best real progress towards political and economic solutions in the region can be made in 2009. A spokesman for Brown said he had invited Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad to visit London on Dec. 15.12/04/08
