Outgoing Prime Minister Ehud Olmert called U.S. President-elect Barack Obama on Thursday to discuss the need to press ahead with the peace process with the Palestinians. Following the conversation, both Israel and the Palestinian Authority renewed announce their commitment to continuing peace negotiations in 2009 after president-elect Barack Obama takes office. The parties have agreed to negotiate based on the principles determined at last November's Annapolis conference. 11/07/08
