A U.S. Army spokesman said on Monday that the U.S. Military has kicked out a soldier after he beat a Jewish trainee who complained about religious harassment in their basic training unit. Citing federal privacy laws, the Army refused to discuss how it punished the attacker of Private Michael Handman, other than saying the case had been handled as an administrative matter rather than as a crime. That all changed on Friday after a director from the Anti-Defamation League met with top U.S. military officials. 11/04/08
