A plot of 27,000 square meters in Damascus Syria presents what is described as the largest flag of Palestine in the world. Every square meter represents a square kilometer in the Palestinian ruled areas. Organizers hope to enter the Guiness Book of records with the flag, work started on it as Palestinians celebrated the Nakba or uprising, and they intend to compete against Israel's flag which also claimed to be the largest in the world.
