Prime Minister Ehud Olmert continues to be investigated by police over allegations of accepting illegal contributions from American businessman Morris Talansky. Olmert has said openly that he has never taken a single penny in illegal contributions and has pledged to resign from his post as Prime minister if indicted in the affair. On Sunday top members from Prime Minister Olmert's political party, came forward in a public show of support for the embattled Prime Minister. Meanwhile Olmert tries to continue running business as usual, vowing to quell the increasing rocket fire from the Gaza strip and preparing for US President George W.
