President George W. Bush wound up the first leg of his trip to the Middle East with a visit to the holy site of Capernaum on the Sea of Galilee where Jesus is thought to have delivered his sermon "blessed are the peacemakers."Bush a devout Christian, visited the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Museum in Jerusalem prior to setting out North. Wearing a yarmulke, Bush placed a red-white-and-blue wreath on a stone slab that covers ashes of Holocaust victims taken from six extermination camps. He also lit a torch memorializing the victims. In the afternoon he bid farewell to Israel, at an official ceremony at Ben Gurion Airport before flying out in Air Force One to Kuwait.01/11/08
