President George W. Bush visited Jesus' birthplace in Bethlehem on Thursday. After entering the Church of the Nativity and meeting with priests of the three faiths, Bush told the crowd that he was glad to have been able to make the trip. "There is no site holier then the birthplace if our Saviour," Bush said. As the President left the church and posed for a photograph with the religious officials, loudspeakers calling Moslems to daily prayer at the nearby mosque filled the air.01/10/08
