Breaking News - Two Katyusha Rockets Fired From Lebanon Explode in Shlomi, Northern Israel

Fragments of two 122mm katyusha rockets were discovered in the northern Israeli town of Shlomi on Tuesday morning. Israel Police confirmed the rockets were apparantly fired early Tuesday morning.Gabi Na'aman head of the Shlomi municipality told reporters that the two katyusha rockets were fired overnight, one landed yards from a home and another struck a lampost nearby. Residents in Shlomi told Army Radio they heard loud explosions at approximately 2a.m., but thought it was thunder.The IDF later confirmed the report. It is unclear who was responsible for the rocket attack.In June, last year two katyusha rockets were fired at Kiryat Shmona in northern Israel by a Palestinian faction in southern Lebanon.01/08/08
