Iran defies the UN sanctions and continues to pursue its uranium enrichment program. The Lebanese Army meanwhile continues to wage a battle against the Al Qaida affiliated Fatah al Islam terrror group near Tripoli and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert intends to embark on peace negotiations with Syria, in the hope that not only will peace be restored to the Middle East but that such steps will help to isolate Iran even further. 05/24/07.
