Some of the rarest tigers in the world are now on display at one zoo in northeast China. Born about two months ago, twin white tiger cubs are old enough for the public to get a glimpse of them.

In China's Qingdao Forest Wildlife World, twin tigers cubs made their social debut this week, meeting visitors for the first time since they were born two months ago. The pair is a rare species of white Bengal tigers, one of the world's most endangered species.

Caretakers have been observing to make sure the male and female twin cubs are healthy.

[Zhang Shuangge, Qingdao Forest Wildlife World]:
"They have already adapted to the environment to live independently. What we should do now is to pay attention to their diet and to keep appropriate temperature and then there will be basically no problems."

The two are now quite playful and have learned how to walk.

Names for the two little cubs are being voted on by the public. The results will be announced on February 6th, the day of the Chinese Lantern Festival.
