Angry Tibetans clashed with Chinese security forces on Saturday, after a Tibetan man set himself on fire in southwest China and was then severely beaten by Chinese police.
The Tibetan protests appeared to be an impromptu reaction to the police brutality.
A woman was shot during the unrest, according to the London-based group Free Tibet.
Sixteen people, including monks and nuns, have set themselves on fire in the past year, protesting against the Chinese regime's rule.
