Pakistan has been plunged into a major crisis amid growing confrontation between the military and the civilian government over the memogate scandal. Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has dismissed Defence Secretary Lt General (retd) Khalid Naeem Lodhi, seen to be close to the Army, close on the heels of a strong attack on the PM by the military today.
