South Korean President Lee Myung-bak and Chinese leader Hu Jintao met on Monday in Beijing. The summit meeting is their first since the death of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il.

Much of the dialogue revolved around maintaining stability on the Korean peninsula as the often-unpredictable North changes leaders.

Also discussed was the possibly of a three-way free trade agreement between Japan, China and South Korea, with a separate two-way agreement between the two nations.
