British youth unemployment reaches record high

Youth joblessness has reached record levels in the UK. Nearly one million under-25s are unemployed, with a large increase among teens. Former PM Gordon Brown has called the phenomenon an 'international time bomb'. The media has dubbed the young unemployed the new 'Lost Generation'. Like the punks of the past, British youths have taken to the streets. But they don't want Anarchy in the UK. They just want a job.
