A Guangdong university student who went missing one day on her way home from school turned up in Mongolia five days later with no idea how she got there. While she was missing her father received a text message from someone claiming to be a genetic researcher who offered him compensation in return for allowing his daughter to take part in special research. However, the girl turned up safe and sound in Baotou City two days later. Police said this kind of case is not unusual.
