International Gold Award winner at this year's Ashden Awards was D Light Design, India. D.light sells solar lanterns globally through 500 local dealers and distributors with most sales in India and Eastern Africa. Over a million people in off-grid villages are now studying and working by the bright, clean light of their simple, solar lantern.
