A storm of controversy has been whipped up in Zimbabwe recently by an unlikely source: collection of litter bins. But these are no ordinary trashcans: bright pink, they were donated to the Bulawayo council by a gay and lesbian pressure group. Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe is an open and fierce critic of homosexuality, and some say the council should have refused the offer.
