Released in the fall of 1988, 'where is the love' was the first single released from the late Robert Brookins' second MCA album "Let It Be Me."
'Where Is The Love' didn't peak in the top of the R&B charts, but had an interesting run, peaking at #18 in the winter of 1988, leading into 1989. The track received mixed reviews by those who compared it too closely to the Donny Hathaway/Roberta Flack original. However, it was praised for not just being a remake, but a re-inspired version with a slower tempo and different vocal arrangement, plus superb ad-lib/chemistry between its two performers.
This specially edited version puts together the album version with the extended ending of the 12-inch version. Notice that it is the same length as the album version. Enjoy..
Taken from the 12-inch release. Also available on "Let It Be Me". Neither are hard to find, but both are, of course, out of print. See Amazon, Ebay, Discogs, etc for purchase.
