STORY: Mexican troops raided a crystal meth drug laboratory they had discovered in the northern state of Sinaloa, officials said on Tuesday (December 27).
Authorities said the raid took place on Christmas Day in the quiet town of El Carrizal close to in Culiacan, capital of Sinaloa, the north-western Pacific state.
Troops seized 120 kilograms of solid methamphetamine, 480 litres of liquid methamphetamine, 550 litres of acetone and diverse material to make the drug.
With no arrests announced and the drug-ravaged state in the throes of a war between rival cartels, authorities have yet to determine the owners of the drug lab.
