STORY: A Soyuz capsule with a three-member multinational crew aboard docked with the International Space Station on Friday (December 23) at 1019 est/ 1519 gmt as the station was flying over southern Russia.
The crew's mission - to bring the International Space Station back up to full manpower after an August cargo launch accident disrupted flights.
Russian cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko, NASA astronaut Don Pettit and the European Space Agency's Andre Kuipers join station commander Dan Burbank, and two Russian cosmonauts who arrived last month, bringing the complex back to its full live-aboard staff of six.
