Addressing a Congress workers’ meet at Babrala, Gunnaur All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi said that the non-Congress governments in UP, during the past 20 years, have pulled the state backwards. Kicking off the second phase of Congress’ Campaign in the run up to the upcoming assembly polls in the state Rahul Gandhi promised that the Congress government will lead Uttar Pradesh back to the top position again.
"Whenever I mingle with the poor, visit their homes and share meals with them some leaders while sitting inside TV studios mock at me. They call such things a drama of Rahul Gandhi. I go to the villages to experience the real strength of the country. I see the future of the country in the villages. And I see the youth there who can change the country,” said Rahul Gandhi amidst loud applauds.
