Egypt riot police clear Tahrir

2011-12-20 11

Protesters run from Tahrir Square as riot police chase them.
This is the second early morning raid in two days as Egypt's security forces target anti-military demonstrators in downtown Cairo.
Screaming and gunfire fill the air as some turn to pelt police with rocks.
At least 13 people died in clashes since last Friday.
The country's military rulers say they did not order troops to clear the square and that soldiers are showing restraint.
But by morning, trails of blood line the street -- evidence activists hold as proof that military rulers are as despotic as the president they replaced in February.
