Golden Globe noms, Madonna's new record deal

Silent movie "The Artist" painted a pretty picture at the Golden Globe nominations on Thursday (December 15), leading all movies with six nods overall including best film comedy or musical in the race to Hollywood's Oscars.
"The Descendants," starring George Clooney as a man struggling to keep his family together picked up five nods including best picture, best actor for Clooney, best director and best supporting actress.
Civil rights movie "The Help" also picked up five nominations including best drama picture, best actress for Viola Davis and two supporting actress nods for Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer.
Madonna inked a deal with Interscope Records that will allow the label to release the albums that were originally contracted to Live Nation Entertainment. She plans to release her first album for Interscope next month, which is her first studio album in five years. Madonna also picked up a Golden Globe nomination for the song "Masterpiece" from her film "W.E."
Controversial radio shock jock Howard Stern will be the new judge on TV show "America's Got Talent." He will also continue to host his daily radio program for SiriusXM. The 57 year old will replace departing talk show host Piers Morgan on the panel when the talent show returns for a 7th season in the summer of 2012.
