Chinese Regime To Impose Anti-Dumping Duties on US-Made Cars

2011-12-15 30

Chinese authorities have announced anti-dumping duties on some gas-guzzling US-made cars and SUVs. On Wednesday, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce specified that the tariffs would be imposed for two years. The tariffs range from two-and-a-half to twenty-one-and-a-half percent.

They include certain vehicles made in America by a range of car makers, including General Motors, Chrysler, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz.

It's the latest spat of trade conflicts between China and the US. It comes on the heels of a failed attempt by Chinese authorities to stop the US from putting a tariff on Chinese tires.
