For a woman struggling to escape poverty in Cambodia, confidence and knowledge are vital assets. Sar Ren, a widow in her early forties, has transformed her life through Christian Aid partner Life With Dignity's community development programme. Not only have they helped her develop six businesses which are earning her money and providing her with food all year round. Now, as one of the first female village leaders, she is also helping her community to become more resilient in the face of worsening water shortages caused by drought and unpredictable floods.
