I-stories: Student activists in Zimbabwe

2011-12-15 4

On their Independence Day many Zimbabweans will mourn their lack of basic freedoms, including their freedom of speech. Christian Aids partner the Student Christian Movement of Zimbabwe (SCMZ) is publishing a booklet called I-stories in a brave move to speak openly and freely about what Zimbabwes young people have experienced during the most recent years of Zimbabwes decade of decline. This audio-slideshow features testimonies and photographs of young Zimbabweans who have suffered manipulation, arrests and beatings for their involvement in student activism. It was produced by Christian Aid to mark the 30th anniversary of Zimbabwes Independence - 18 April 2010.
