The Adf.ly service then pays whomever shortened the link based on the total number of clicks it receives. On average, they pay $4.00 per 1000 clicks. It all depends on where the clicks come from. Payout is done monthly through Paypal or AlertPay, with a $5.00 minimum. After sign-up you can see each link's revenue in real time.
