Madonna will headline the 2012 Super Bowl half-time show in a performance co-created by the Cirque Du Soleil. The Grammy-winning pop star, who was out in New York promoting her film "W.E." joins a roster of A-list stars who have appeared at the high-profile American Football game. The game and performance will take place on February 5 in Indianapolis.
Bollywood's evergreen hero Dev Anand has died at the age of 88 after suffering a cardiac arrest. Anand passed away in the early hours of Sunday (December 04) in London. Anand, considered the epitome of the suave gentleman, was seen as one of the most handsome men in Indian cinema and often compared to Hollywood hero Gregory Peck. Anand has acted in, directed and produced more than 110 films over a career spanning 60 years.
The Kennedy Center held its annual honors, recognizing musicians, actors and performers including Meryl Streep and Neil Diamond on Sunday (December 4).
Streep was joined with Broadway star Barbara Cook, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, and saxophonist and composer Sonny Rollins. The five honorees were treated to a concert of their peers highlighting some of the more memorable moments of their careers. The event will be broadcast on U.S. TV network CBS on December 27.
Tom Cruise, who is in India to promote his upcoming film, "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol," visited the Taj Mahal on Saturday (December 03). Amid tight security, Cruise arrived at the majestic complex with his co-star, Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor. "MI 4" takes Cruise's Ethan Hunt all over the world including Mumbai.
