Pakistan's military brass honor 24 soldiers mistakenly killed in a NATO attack Saturday.
The bodies will be sent to the victims' ancestral towns after the funeral in Peshawar.
The circumstances of the attack remain unclear but a NATO spokesman confirmed that aircraft were called to the northwest to support troops near the border with Afghanistan.
The soldiers were killed at outposts only 2.5 kilometres from Afghanistan's Kunar province.
In response, Pakistan is shutting down crucial military operations, including a US military base and NATO supply routes.
Army chief General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani visited the wounded in a Peshawar hospital Sunday.
The government condemned the outrage and said it will review all of its cooperation arrangements with the US and NATO.
