Clouds of tear gas fill the air on Mohamed Mahmoud Street in central Cairo, during the fifth day of clashes between pro-democracy protesters and security forces.
Police fire tear gas canisters from behind makeshift barricades, and demonstrators hurl them back.
Protesters also said that security forces were deliberately setting homes on fire in an effort to increase perceptions of chaos.
