SOUNDBITE: Roony Mara, actress, saying (English)
"Just the whole experience was actually quite fun. I mean it was very intense but it was always, strangely, fun."
"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" is the first of three novels by Larsson, but Fincher says there are no plans as yet for a sequel.
SOUNDBITE: David Fincher, director, saying (English)
"I don't think it's really up to us. I mean it's really more about whether or not people like the first one right? They don't really make sequels to movies just because they were good."
"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" opens in Sweden and the United States on December 21, the UK on December 26, and globally in early 2012.
