Two Vietnamese Falun Gong practitioners will face trial this Thursday, November 10th. It's the third time authorities have re-scheduled sentencing Vu Duc Trung and Le Van Thanh. The first two attempts were aborted due to pressure from the international community and media coverage.

[Erping Zhang, Falun Gong spokesman]:
"The Vietnamese authorities must stop playing games with these two men's lives and trying to sneak in a trial when they think the rest of the world isn't paying attention."

The two men were arrested last year for broadcasting radio programs into China to expose the Chinese regime's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in Mainland China.

[Erping Zhang, Falun Gong spokesman]:
"This trial actually violates international and Vietnamese law and have been repeatedly condemned by human rights groups and foreign governments. It's clear that the two Vietnamese citizens are in detention only because of Chinese Communist Party pressure."

Zhang is appealing to the international community for help to stop the trial—and urges Vietnamese authorities to resist pressure from the Chinese regime.
