Victoria's Secret angel Candice Swanepoel gets fitted to heavenly perfection.
During a pre-show meeting for the lingerie label's legendary fashion show, the South African model was fitted in one of the most expensive looks.
Collection designer Todd Thomas explains why it's so special.
SOUNDBITE: Todd Thomas, actor, saying (English):
"It was all hand beaded and embroidered. And that was something we started months ago, it's sort of a nod to a toreador, you know, this sort of heavy roses that are embroidered on Spanish shawls was a reference that we used to incorporated within that look."
Thirty-eight models will hit the catwalk for the iconic event wearing 69 looks.
This season 31 wings will be presented, and lucky Swanepoel will don two pairs.
SOUNDBITE: Candice Swanepoel, model, saying (English):
"That's a really special moment for any girl. This year I have two pairs, so I'm excited. I have a beautiful gold pair and then I open the show in these purple feathered wings."
Thomas explains the highly selective process of being gifted with wings.
SOUNDBITE: Todd Thomas, actor, saying (English):
"Generally I think it's about seniority and the people that have been participated in the shows before. Those girls are the ones that, you know, deservedly get selection first. So that's really the way we sort of approach it."
While walking around in wings might look like fun, the veteran angel explains that prepping for the show is equal parts hard work and leisure.
SOUNDBITE: Candice Swanepoel, model, saying (English):
"In the last ten days we all start working out a lot more than usual. But I try to just relax as much as I can. Before I'll take the weekend off, have a facial and just try and, you know, be natural , not wear too much make-up."
The show will tape in New York City on November 9th and will air on U.S. television network CBS on November 29th.
