The number one mistake that women make in organizing their wardrobe, is not organizing their wardrobe. You have to put things in such an order that you know what you have. That way you are going to wear your clothes, and also it will help you avoid unfortunate mistakes like buying yet another black t-shirt or another black pair of pants. The second mistake is keeping things that should not be kept. If you have been a size ten for ten years there is a good chance that you are not going to fit into that size four dress from your freshman year at college, and that is okay maybe you should not be wearing it anyway. So just get rid of it. It is taking up space and it just might be making you feel bad about your body. The third mistake in organizing your wardrobe is buying bits and pieces. Say you are going shopping and you see something you really love or something that is a really good price, so you think you should get it. Stop and take a mental stroll through your closet to determine whether you have anything to go with it. It is going to save you a lot of money and save you space. The fourth most common problem with women organizing their closet is hanging things in improperly. You want to fold them carefully and hang them over the bar of the hanger, or you just want to put them on a shelf. Also, if you have jackets and your hanging them on wire hangers their going to lose their shape quickly. You want to use hangers that support the shoulders. And if everything is askew in your closet, it is a mess, it is chaos, it is unappealing, you want your closet to be an inviting place. The fifth biggest problem with organizing your closet is not organizing your closet. So just go ahead and do it, you will be so happy you did.
