Thai activists rescue flood animals

As another rescue team heads out to the flooded areas in Thailand's Ayutthaya city, their target is not human beings.
But their best friends.
Hundreds of cats and dogs were abandoned as their owners fled the old northern capital, leaving them to fend for themselves.
But not all are happy to be rescued.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) ROGER LOHANAN, SECRETARY OF THAI ANIMAL GUARDIANS ASSOCIATION, SAYING:
"The biggest problem is, the animals are not willing to cooperate, those that are really in need of help are already drowned and died. But the ones that have shelter or a dry space to stay don't want to leave the area."
Some animals have been stranded with no food for nearly two weeks.
The rescued animals will be rehabilitated and vaccinated, before being handed over to the livestock department.
