China's state-run oil producer, CNOOC, has reported a new spill in the Bohai Bay drill site. It's an offshore site in North China that has recently been plagued by spills.

CNOOC revealed Saturday that an oil slick had been found in the vicinity of the Jinzhou 9-3 West oil field. According to the company's findings, a damaged oil pipeline at the sea bottom has leaked 13.4 cubic feet of oil.

Local environmental groups and fishermen have protested the continuing oil contamination in this rich fishing area.
