Zsa Zsa recovering in hospital, Shirley MacLaine to be honored

Zsa Zsa Gabor had surgery on Sunday (October 09) to reattach a feeding tube to her stomach after being hospitalized in Los Angeles a day earlier, and the 94-year-old actress was reportedly doing well. Gabor was rushed to the hospital on Saturday when she fell unconscious at home. She was experiencing a high fever and suffered some internal bleeding.
Oscar-winning actress Shirley MacLaine will be honored with the American Film Institute's Lifetime Achievement Award. The 77 year old will be presented with the prestigious honor on June 7 in a ceremony to be broadcast later on TVLand. She will be the award's 40th recipient.
Amy Winehouse's father has a book deal. HarperCollins announced Monday (October 10) that Mitch Winehouse has agreed to terms with the publisher in the U.S. and Britain for the release of "Amy, My Daughter." HarperCollins says the book will come out in summer 2012.
Kanye West is the latest celeb to make an appearance at the Occupy Wall Street protest. The hip-hop star was guided through the crowds by music mogul Russell Simmons. The Occupy Wall Street movement began in New York last month with a few people and has now expanded to protests in more than a dozen cities.
Elizabeth Taylor fans will get to see some of her personal possessions before they go up for auction. The traveling exhibit shows off some of her jewelry, fashion items, costumes and film memorabilia. The Elizabeth Taylor Collection is on an international tour, and it has arrived in West Hollywood for four days. There is more than $30 million worth of jewelry featured in the exhibit, including a sapphire diamond necklace worth between $600,000 to $800,000. The auction will start on December 13 in New York.
