The Yemeni journalist who was named a co-winner of the Nobel Peace Prize last week was joined by supporters at a rally Saturday.
32 year old Tawakul Karmen was honoured for her work in the country's uprising against President Ali Abdullah Saleh and his decades long rule in the country.
(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) NOBEL PEACE PRIZE WINNER, TAWAKUL KARMAN, SAYING:
"I say to tyrants and despots: your reign is over, I say to Ali Saleh and his regime: you are deluded, if you thought that the revolution would fail, the revolution has triumphed."
President Saleh announced Saturday he would step down in the coming days.
In Liberia, one of the two other prize winners, President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, held a news conference outside her home on Friday.
Johnson-Sirleaf paid tribute to other Liberian winner, Lemah Gbowee.

"Lemah Gbowee worked very hard with women in Liberia from all works of life to challenge a dictatorship, to sit in the sun and rain, advocating for peace."
Johnson-Sirleaf was awarded for her work as Africa's first freely elected female head of state, Gbowee for her efforts in Liberia's civil war.
