Apple fans and hi-tech workers in California's Silicon Valley gathered on the Apple campus to mourn the death of Steve Jobs.
The man who changed the daily habits of millions around the globe has died at the age of 56 after a long battle with cancer and other health problems.
The heart of the Apple empire, its headquarters at 1 Infinite loop, Cupertino, has become a shrine to Jobs as mourner left floral tributes and cards.
Many say he'll be remembered as a visionary, an artist and an icon.
"Steve Jobs said that he wants to put a dent in the universe and I think he clearly did that. He changed the way we do things throughout our daily lives," said Parth Dhebar who was among the throng outside Apple HQ.
"They lost an icon, a businessman, they lost an entrepreneur, they'll never find anyone like him, you know, a visionary who saw the world completely different," added Mohamed Njwad.
Some had concerns about where Apple stands a company with the loss of Jobs.
Beth Johnson said: "His vision is really what made Apple, I think, and while I know that they have a lot of stuff going on for the next few years I do have my concerns about what happens after that, and everything that he has put in place isn't there."
Fans around the world have been paying tribute to Jobs, who stepped down as chief executive of the world's largest technology company in August.
