Choosing a Cereal - as part of the expert series by GeoBeats. My name is Kate Fortunado with Rebecca Bitzer and Associates. A good cereal choice is low in sugar and sodium and has adequate fiber and some protein. Some of my favorite cereals include Kashi Go Lean Crunch, Whole Grain Cheerios, Post Shredded Wheat, Whole Grain Total, and Special K. A poor cereal choice has 25 percent of it is calories coming from sugar. These can be occasional fun foods but, should not be enjoyed on a daily basis.
