http://www.FTV.com/videos NEW YORK - While color has been this year's draw at many of the New York Fashion Week shows, Donna Karan goes for something a little different with her Spring/Summer 2012 collection. She chooses to go for browns, blacks, and whites, and throws in a tribal print theme. Donna, who often bases her collections on nature and earth themes, took a trip to Haiti this year and was inspired by the bold prints of Haitian artist Philippe Dodor as well as her surrounding landscape at the time. She combined these natural themes with a form-fitting silhouette to create something special for the modern lady in colors of brown, beige, white, and even green. It was a far cry from her simple and modern NY woman-inspired DKNY collection, but the residual effects were felt just as great.
