It looks like nothing could stop one young man from realizing his aspiration to be a traditional Chinese painter. Wang Liang suffers from congenital cerebral palsy—but he has completed two art exhibitions, and even published a book on traditional Chinese painting. Here's his story.

Twenty-five-year-old Wang Liang suffers from congenital cerebral palsy. He cannot speak fluently or move nimbly like most people—but this has not stopped Wang from realizing his love for traditional Chinese painting.

Wang has completed two personal painting exhibitions, and even published a book on traditional Chinese painting in Fuxin city in China's northeastern province of Liaoning.

Wang expresses his love for Chinese landscapes through his paintings.

[Wang Liang's Painting Teacher]:
"Wang Liang's work is large freehand landscape painting. I can feel his happiness by observing him painting. He was not only drawing landscape such as mountains, clouds and waters, but also releasing his feelings from the bottom of his heart."

It takes forty minutes on a tricycle to travel from his home to the art classroom. Despite his physical challenges, Wang persists in attending class everyday.

While his home doesn't have a lot of space, his easel occupies the brightest spot. The first thing he does after school is always painting.

At first, Wang's family was unable support him because it cost money to buy brushs, paper, ink sticks, and ink stones.

Wang thought of ways to make money to support his dream. He encouraged his family to open a grocery store.

[Wang Liang's Mother]:
"Although he's suffering from illness, he is still a pillar of our family."

Wang also manages to raise money for his father's medical treatment for cerebral thrombosis by selling his paintings.
